Great map. The only remark is that maybe you can set the territories to the center because now they are in the right side. Perhaps you should cut the black Atlantic Ocean or draw a similar black\grey space on the other side too.

large and complicated map. has some good starting/retreating points/countries. there is some risk in starting expansion, as choke points quickly fan out into many border countries, but afterwards expansion is mostly straightforward. conquering large territories is challenging, as the borders constantly gain countries, but the payoff is appropriate and the borders taper into 1-5 after a whole country is conquered. at least 2 good staging points, maybe 3.

I have tried for over two weeks to conquer this map as a single player and from the starting point that I am given I have found it to be impossible.I like a challenge but also like a more positive outcome.Since I cannot advance in my levels and unlock more maps I find myself with no choice but to simply dump this site and try another.Too bad I was actually enjoying playing here until this.

this map is againt impossible odds, the commander of 100 (boss) takes my entire income to keep him occupied even only using 2 per territory. while facing 100 against the other AI. You barely get 100 income and they have 4-7 territories with 100 after playing this map for a week i cannot find a way to beat it..... seems the Boss AI either goes straight for my commander wether i leave him behind or not. and the other AI just swarms me with impossible odds to defend.. or be offensive.. as if i try to Hunter pack through to break the bonus income i lose my income and territories and go back to 60-70 income and lose. i have yet to get to the far side of the map. once close to rome the enemy is way to strong. i can take the northern AI out or keep him locked in easily, the Boss AI can be slowly contended with but there is no way to content with the 3rd AI with 60 less income. I feel this map is either very unbalanced or 100% luck. The Far AI on the eastern boarder needs to be toned down 1-2%.

I want more Initial Distribution on this map.

This map might be great if your playing it for a custom game. But in the Caesars challenge games its Impossible to win. I've tried over 100 times to win it. AI1 never goes for AI2 I always run into him between 8 and 15 turns. Whoever came up with this scenario was in crack. Buy the 10th turn AI2 gets twice as many income as anyone else. And has very little opposition to just keep adding to it. There NEEDS to be a skip level feature to this game.

Absolutely a great map--useful for almost any settings. Size is not too big, nor too small. Balance is overall great, although in my opinion the two northwest regions (Magnus Germanica and Magnus Britania) are just slightly overpowered (especially if both are held), while the bonus for the very south (Magnus Africa) is too small for what's required to take and hold it. Other players may disagree.

Great Map. Aesthetically really well done, with some interesting bonuses. Probably want to limit to around 4 players FFA or 2x2 teams. You can quickly get dominated if you dont pay attention to all of the extra bonuses available.

Good diversity with an east/west axis in africa and more wide open areas in the east and north. Some historical interest. The highest level bonus areas are very difficult to achieve unless you are already destined to win the game and, so, are fairly useless. Parthian Empire may be an exception to that comment.

Very Strategic map. Super balanced for team play. Partha is a must for any team. The UK is not that important for teams but when playing 1v1, the UK seems to win because it can expand into Europe faster. Playing Parta only in a 1v1 and you will actually lose. Best to have several location picks either way, don't focus on one region, the map is too large for that to work.

Excellent map! Unusual (and well-designed) bonus structure, historical interest, great playability. Works well for almost any number of players, and (despite some of the comments) is *extremely* well-balanced for such an assymetrical map. Probably my absolute favorite. Great work!!

I love thid map. It can adapt to many players' needs as a FFA , strategic or team map. It is also versatile in the way the settings subject ut so it can be flexible as a trianing map for players of mnay skill levels. It is also a recomended must for game creators for a well-balanced game for a small group of freinds. The chokepoints in the map give away an intresing tactics when cards are used in certain areas , forcing the player to completly change direction in expansion and tactics. 5/5

this map is almost = to the true map of history :) the problem here is that there's no Selucid Empire and the Parthians never had such an enormous Empire O_o

Awesome map! The one thing I don't like is that the Parthian Empire is too powerful. It's quite a bit easier to get than the other 3 12-army bonuses as it's not strung out at all and doesn't overlap with any of the others. Other than that, the map's fantastic!

In single player the brown boss path is too unpredictable to play.
Im always starting in hope that he doesn't come at me early on, but he always does every god damn time.
And if that wasn't bad enough, the eastern army is too enormous by the time you meet, you have no chance to get a foothold. And before you know it you wasted another 30 minutes.

Tried it hundreds of times, was having loads of fun but this makes me want to stop playing.

Pretty good map. It's a bit smallish than I'd like, but it's fun. Also, I do like that the megabonuses overlap quite a bit. I don't like the position of where the Parinthian empire was though.

Seriously, has anyone actually beat this map let alone beat it with a gold star? I can't see any possible way to win. I don't even care about the gold star at this point, just want to win so I can unlock the next level. Is it actually possible to beat?

All enemies are biased against the player, even when it is againstagainst their own interests. I've tried this more than i8times and the boys ONLY invades my territories. When the100pint boss is killed he spawns 4 90-point clonesclones ALL in my territory. How about some game balance?

Good map but with 2 big balance problems:
- Hispania: Army income: 34 (24 10); to be easily defended by just 4 territories (out of 30)
- Magna Germania: Army income 23 (18 5); to be defended by 10 territories (out of 16)
- it sound harder to get 30 territories instead of 16, but there is one important point: Hispania is very peripheral on the map, Magna Germania is very central.

If you play single player you always start in Ireland, the Parthia faccion has advantage while it´s playing alone the other three factions are fighting between. Really unfair. Best would be a random faction or chose your primary territory

Although I appreciate the difficulty of this map to beat it in so many turns, the unpredictability of the boss seems to nullify whichever strategy I take unless I get lucky. To me, getting lucky isn't as fun as executing a good strategy. Although luck does play a factor, and I can appreciate that, it seems that luck factors more into success on this map than pure strategy. Thanks for allowing us to play!

There is a lot of luck involved. Really hard to win if the boss goes up. To either side, if it medium. If the boss goes down, it is much easier. The best strategy in my opinion is push south west early, while meeting the other AI east.

I killed the AI from the middle east in 27 turns but finished in 38 TURNS and missed the gold star (32 turns) BECAUSE OF THE FUCKING BOSS
When the boss split into 3 it REPLACED ONE OF MY TERRITORIES WITH 120 ARMIES
IT TOOK ME 3 HOURS TO COMPLETE THIS AND IT WAS NOTHING BUT A WASTE OF TIME

Awful map. You start out at such a disadvantage that it is nearly impossible, and only through the choice of the AI whether you win or lose. You need sheer luck to be able to take out the commander of the AI team before their armies take all of your territory. They AI team that starts in the bottom right doesn't have to deal with a single other team while you 2v1 the other 2 teams, one of which has the boss on it. It amasses armies while you are constantly losing armies to contain the boss.

When you make the game this absolutely impossible to win it isn't the least bit pleasurable or challenging, it's infuriating. Absolutely ridiculous.

AI3 is easy to take out or build a wall against while you focus on other enemies, but by the time you are done with AI1 and the boss AI2 to the east is ridiculously over powered.

There is no strategy to get the other AI's to weaken him and by the time you get to him he is so strong he just steam rolls all over you. Very poorly set up game.

So, it's zero troops gained for turn. This sucks! Why>? For example, you split your troops and enemy do nothing for more turns and then with his 11 troops crush your 1 troop regions. It's just waiting right moment. Disgusting! I hate when intellingence it's used to gain advantage this way.

Every time I play, I'm completely cut off in the first few moves by boss on one side and an AI on the other side that is only fighting me, meanwhile another AI has loads of free space w/ no one anywhere near it.

it is unclear how the 'boss' operates and how to defeat him. when i attack him with a large number of armies he seems to take no damage. it is too frustrating at this point.

You should explain at the outset that cloning has a limit, otherwise someone with a chance will give up as the cloning process appears to be "magic" e.g. splitting into 3 leaders with only slightly reduced power (net 2+ times the orginal power) when attacked by an overwhelming force and the other 2 pieces teleporting to random locations on the map. People will give up and call the map impossible, instead of grinding it out. Give that explanatio out front, you get 5 stars.

Dirty little trick spawning 80s in Scandia and Codania to stop a potential Gold Star. First 80 suicided, second 80 moved into its place leaving a 0 behind, counter attack takes out last 80. Good thing I was on turn 34 and learned this in advance of next attempt. Have to be at turn 30 going after last targets to avoid that cheat as it takes 2 turns to clear it. I also notice that if you actually may star, the last AI will defend heavily when usually you storm right through its defenses once you break into its stronghold continent.

this map is too hard on single player, 3 players includes 2 AI and me spawn on the left side, 1 AI spawn on the far bottom right. The boss keep harassing me while I kept reoccupying my land, while the far bottom right AI grows undisturbed.

This is the hardest map to beat so far! (It took me about 25 games to figure out a strategy that works.) It takes patience, strategy, and determination, but the point is what seems impossible, is in fact not! Keep at it, but don't keep making the same mistakes over and over again. Learn as you go.

Caesar's Challenge is undoubtedly one of the worst game designs I've seen in a long time. This site really needs an option to skip maps without having to try them a bunch of times first. If a player sees a gimmick that they think is stupid, or a map that is unfairly balanced, they should be able to skip as they see fit.

The bonus armies are difficult, almost impossible, to achieve.
The fact that the boss re-spawns as double bosses and the fact that the boss has an attack of 100 plus the other AI fulfilling half the map before getting contact makes almost impossible to win this map.

Nice Start because you never know from where you will start. Very intriguing, but in some games very boring when you become superior to any other and have to bring them down one by one by your finally vast armies. But this does only happen in at least less than half of the games. I just love it!

This map, as its currently configured is impossible. The AI is far too aggressive...the only "win" strategy vids I've seen are when the AI attack other AIs instead of you. That has never happened for me. Too bad, up to this point this game, as whole, was challenging but fair. This map is ridiculous and relies far too much on RNG to be successful.

Maybe it's just the mode, but the level using this map is so impossible for me to even beat 2 of the enemy teams--let alone win the game--that I stopped playing this game entirely for months. I can't unlock anything else just because of this one map. Every other map took me 5 attempts at an absolute maximum, but I have tried dozens of times on this one and have never gotten close. No matter how much territory you conquer while starting in Britain, the armies closer to the middle east always have an unbelievably higher stockade of troops. I really liked this game, but this one level completely ruined it for me.

This is ridiculous, as soon as you just start to get a hold on it, you rid one 100 boss and get 4 90's to replace it. It takes near all the armies you have just for the first 100 boss. Waste of time to play for enjoyment, seems like it is a map of pure luck.

Way too hard. The general A3 is far too powerful to meet that soon, and then it spawns in the middle of my territories - into 3 super generals more powerful than anything I can create. And meanwhile A2 is building more power as it goes - and it stalks my general as it builds troops far faster than I can. Not enjoyable.

How am I even supposed to win at this game?
Managed to kill him twice in a row, at no point was it even worth it as he then still would have a 200+ army on the Isles. Am I supposed to bypass him and conquer Spain and Italy while he is on his merry way? And how am I supposed to win at all, kill his 100-guy and two 90-guys spawn. I had four attacking me at the end, not to speak of the 200 army at the neighboring province. This is stupid. Am I just supposed to not kill him until I conquered every territory so he can't spawn in them? REally??

(Following 10 iterations) Yet another algorithm that reacts to your strategy, matching your armies, making it impossible to win. It's easy to see the program deciding when you are allowed to win a conflict. You spend the first 7 turns fighting the left enemy only to see overwhelming armies from the right enemy.

SUPER challenging map but very satisfying when you beat it. There is no trick to it. I had to fight 3 battle fronts while containing the "Boss". Took 48 turns, but I did it!!!
