Description |
This map consists of Two Parts. 1) The Main Map, and 2) The Headquarters (HQ)
The main map plays normal: Get bonuses for completing states and regions.
The HQs modifiy these bonuses: Stars enable extra bonuses for cities and regions. Each city+star combo is 2 army and a region plus 1 star gives 1.5x region bonus, whole region + 2 stars is 2X region bonus.
Each team has 2 stars and 4 standby spots in the HQ. As many people as possible should select one standby spot at the start so they are can recieve star bonuses later.
Recommended Settings: 3v3 or 4v4 Dist. Mode- Cities/States HQ. Manual Territory Selection. At Least 3 territories (1 for HQ, 2 for Map)
Other variants: - Add gift cards, -Choose NO HQ dist and set non-dist neutrals to 99 to play without the HQ feature -Set Negative Bonuses to 0 |

I tried to remove some of the imbalances of normal team games with this map by allowing shifting bonuses between teammates. It may be a bit complicated at first, but I really tried to simplify gameplay by having only two rules. One for Cities, another for Regions. Please review the key's on the map.
As always, please invite me to a game if you're interested.

This map is unique. It requires a bit of study to decide how to play and makes a great deal of difference as to distribution methods. The AI does not seem to behave as one might expect with the bonuses though it may be a function of the game selection type.

It's a little confusing, and it give a little too much extra poeple, and it only lets you battle one other person.

I wish there was, short of making a custom scenario there is not.

Alternate Distribution (No HQ) makes it so that noone is in the HQ's from the start, and you can change the negative blockades to 0 to have a race to the HQs.
-------
A very great original idea for a map.

Great job. I was getting bored with the 48 state map. This is the next step up. Looks like it was a lot of hard work to make, but the map turned out great! I really liked how the state bonuses are small and evenly weighted.

Very bad map. Avoid at all costs!
It's too complex, overdone. Too many ideas put in a too little a map. Several ideas by themselves are maybe good, but everything altogether simply doesn't work well.

Devean, I'm sorry you don't have the time to understand the map. Its actually quite simple if you take the time (2 minutes) to understand it.

I'll invite you to a game, perhaps we can discuss. _____ After discussing, it seems the complaints are against the settings, as this map is 100% playable without the HQ's, just using the No HQ Distribution mode.

However, I still stand that the HQ's add something unique. Please give try it out until you understand how they work.
