Results of week #4

1. Battle of Dresden 1813 http://warlight.net/Map?ID=14191 - By Ranek. With a total of 7 votes. A quote from Math Wolf:
Amazing! Love the concept, love the scenario. It seems pretty fair as well, which is difficult in this case. And even without the scenario, a simple strategic game seems possible on this map. On top of that, it's also visually pleasing. This should be the winner hands down this week.

Ranek:
I simply tried to build a map that simulates a two-fronts-war. I havent seen a map with a similar topic before. So I searched for a historical setting that fits with the idea and finally implemented a trenchline. The result was Battle of Dresden.

2. Big British Isles http://warlight.net/Map?ID=9784 - By Apollo. With a total of 7 votes, however less 1st place votes. A quote from Math Wolf:
Nice map with good detail, interesting strategic options. The London situation is uncommon, but nicely done. I could imagine this being confusing at first.

NinjaNic:
Looks neat, and is large enough for a long lasting challenging game. Not much of any other special design, but looks well and carefully made.

3. Sengoku http://warlight.net/Map?ID=3759 - By Phil. With a total of 3 votes. A quote from Math wolf:
It looked nice until I started actually playing it. When you zoom in, many of the lines almost make you seasick. Many territories around the center are way too small so even a single number doesn't properly fit in. The combination of very large and very small territories also bother me. Not very useful for strategic games as the bonuses vary wildly and the 1-1 bonus-territory ratio isn't very good. I assume this map is grandfathered, because these days, it wouldn't be allowed anymore.

Honourable mentions: Narnian World, Large Skyrim, London Tube map.

Week 5 nominations begin!

Is it the first (insert number) submissions that get nominated, only?

If so, I'll just wait until we're running short on submissions in order to let others give theirs

I'm glad Dresden got this recognition. It's a really good map and is very fun to play on. Implied smiley face.

Yes Dresden is a great map. I've played several team games on it.
