Hey! so I was in a thread that was complaining about how little maps are played and a user, master of disaster, came up with the idea to have a Map of the Week to promote the use of old, discarded maps that still have great potential. I think it is pure genius, and so I will be doing it.

This is where I need help. I need your ideas.

Which maps are good but are not played that much?

Is a week enough time, or should it be map of the month? (keep in mind I intend on making multiple games in that period of time)

Should I have a Big Map of the week, Small map of the week, Diplo map of the week, etc.?

I think a different sized map each week would be good so there's a variety of maps used.

you could make a random generator, which choose a site including 25 maps and you choose a map.
generator could be the community which may write random map page numbers and you take the average. something like that.

I like the idea, I suggest doing:

Best Strategic map of the week
Best Diplomacy/roleplay map of the week
Best big (300+) map of the week
Best small (<300) map of the week
Best upcoming map (obviously wouldn't necessarily be weekly)

Then at the start of each week, ask for nominations from the forum and open games. Then vote on it later on in the week. Each week should have a past winners list. So week 1# , week 2# etc.

This is a great idea :D I will help promote this and after the votes have been tallied we can feature it on warlight weekly as well!!!
