Now that my WL career is over, I thought of new community events...
The player vs world event was first (and last) held in 2011, when a very good player, Impaller played a game with 'The world'. The idea was that 'The world' would vote on the best picks and moves every turn in a game against the impaller, with the most popular version of moves getting executed, a bit like vote chess for those who don't know. For more details on last event see (

There have been a few attempts to revive this event over the years, with little success. But now, with a bigger community than ever, I think we can do it.
So what we need...
#1: 'The player'. He would be honor bound not to check the voting threads. Obviously he would also have to be very good and have proven his skill with ladder success.
#2: A panel of several good players would also be selected, preferably 7, they would give their ideas on the best picks and moves every turn and then everybody would get to vote on which option they like best, we can do this through pollcode or poll.com.
#3: A medium account to be the representative of the world. A shared new account between the panel would be preferable so that the panel may be able to view the game easier and make better choices, and in the event that the representative leaves, the event can continue. However, due to incidents of new accounts lagging, this may not work.
#4: Choosing a template. 1v1 Strat is probably best, though with 0% luck to minimise confusion.
Pre-reqs to become chosen...
The player
- #1 1v1 ladder
- #1 2v2 ladder
- Min 2k games
The Panel
- #1 on any ladder
- Min 1k games
Would anyone be interested to do this? If you are interested please comment or mail me. If you dont meet the pre-reqs, you can join the waiting list, and you may be selected if there are not enough eligible players for the panel. If you have any suggestions or questions, comment too! Lets hope this works! :)
