There are a lot of random team games in the poll. I think these games aren't going to work out and are akin to the random distribution map that everyone has a problem with right now.

This should be 1v1 only.

No, random teams =/= auto-distribution. Sure, some teams may get 2 better players, but in a team game communication will win out. So it's actually quite competitive.

I'd like to make one more suggestion, if there are many templates introduced (which is definitely wanted) distribution turn should be set to 10 minutes, while other can be 5. Especially important in team games.

Slow medium earth is basically strategic 1v1 with 0% luck straight roud + 75% defensive kill rate (that means a neutral of 2 always kills 2 armies).

Not a fan of anything "Slow" on RT ladder. It is counter to it being Real Time. I'd be cool with Distribution period longer, if that is possible.

lolowut, are you saying that if you are partnered with a weak player it's up to the stronger player to play puppet master? doesn't seem fair to me.

fizzer, is it too big a request that whichever map/s get knocked off the ladder, the corresponding outcomes would get wiped from your history as well?

No team games lol.

Auto-dist was bad enough but you have to rely on your random teammate even showing up. I don't think I am the only one that wants their rating hinging on the ability of some random player.

Puppet master? Not quite. When I was newer to the game I played several live tournaments paired up with players who were way above my level at the time, typically puppeting wasn't what happened. When you say puppet master, you mean that the stronger player tells the weaker player exactly what to do. No, you teach them your viewpoint and see if they have any viewpoint that is logical enough to adapt your plan with. It's hard to describe, easier to experience. Some people may not play it like that, but random teams are a golden opportunity for a willing and open-minded weak player to pick the brain of a stronger player directly. In my experience of playing random-team Europe 3v3s and random-team 2v2s, I've found it to be very interesting and perhaps the most beneficial part of my learning process.

Also you have the choice on whether to join the RT ladder or not based on the pool of players. If you see players you don't want to end up teamed with.. don't join.

Looking forward to team games on the ladder (even if they're random), especially the 3v3 Europe.

Also, Lolowut nailed it really. You can see who is on the ladder and avoid it if you're not willing to risk pairing up with them/going against them. At the same time, if there are dozens on the ladder your opponents also have the chance of pairing up with players that are less skilled than themselves.

Communication is key, there's generally an imbalance of skills between players, so talking in a team game should happen regardless.

lolwut think of it this way....... You are put on a team with me and we have to play against Wazz and Summer do you still think its fair? I would say the only way there should be 2v2 is if 2 clanmates are put on a team together and if your not in a clan you get put with someone else who is clanless
