So we've had one of these threads before, but it's been a while and that one got really cluttered. What I'm wondering is: what clans are out there on WL. The big three that I know of are of course REGL, WM, and FBG(kinda). Are there others of any significant size? If so, please set up a game with me so we can talk. If we have enough clans we're debating setting up some sort of "Clan-Ladder" system, which could be a lot of fun.

unless you have a good reason for me to join then you anit getting me to join so stop it.

@Unknownsoldier, [20]'s more of a community than a clan, as it's only set up for inner-clan games, and not clan-matches and stuff. (and I'm not a fan of any part of him or his system anyway, so would never associate with it in any way)

@Yoshi: No offence, but you're not all that, and you don't get to dictate weather clans are on WL or not. If you don't like them, stay away fro them. If you get invited to a clan, politely turn it down and take it as a copliment instead of getting pissy about it and being full of yourself.

Texas, the creator was asking to join a clan not too long ago... Imho that signified it's end..

Eagle, (20) is a clan, just because it doesn't do things the way your clan does, does not change the fact of what it is.

20 is not a community or clan. it has an inclusive structure that allows any good/great player (20 member or not) to participate in league tournaments and the new 20 ladders, and thereby increase the overall level of competition. if you regl or wm members want to prove their worth, you're by all means welcome. but only your top players, please. quality > quantity.

i think every good/great player seeks the honor and glory of competing with the best. that is why 20 is open to any good/great player who wishes to honor us with their participation in league or ladder play.

as for being a fan of 'parts of [me]': master regulator, i'm straight, happily married and monogamous. please dont show any consideration whatsoever for my parts!

there can be honor in any form of competition. i treat the games seriously. i treat the adrenaline-inspired or pubescent chit-chat less so.

I think being so serious about detracts from the fun. Do you play WL for the "honour?"

Being honored by a compliment and playing for one's honor are two drastically different things. To even compare the two is ridiculous.

do you play to be recognized by your peers? even just a little? is the pointed #1 on your profile page after the words "best rank ever" a goal you achieved due to your own personal desire? if so, why don't you hide that section of your profile?

**glory** [mass noun] *high renown or honour won by notable achievements*

is competing with the best and winning not a notable achievement?

Firstly, nice one calling me ace window :P

Secondly, since reaching the top of the ladder with a score that I will never reach again, I've lost that feeling that I have something to prove, that I have a fixed goal. So that's what's changed.
I'm here to have fun and get to know more people now.

I didn't say you couldn't feel a sense of honor for said accomplishment. I merely said that one need not play for honor in order to be honored by a compliment. The two are not mutually inclusive.

I don't feel honour when I beat a good player. The phrase I used, "I'm honoured to be mentioned on that list" was more of an idiomatic acceptance of Math's compliment
