i think it depends on it. many cupcakes are too sweet, a problem that muffins dont have so for the most part, muffins are better. they are also healthier.
for this, i assume we ARENT talking about breakfast muffins or english muffins which are a disgrace to society

Should only be using muffin definition 1 and cupcake definition 1 to compare. Anything else is one-sided and irrelevant.

But the possibilities of an English muffin are limitless! It is the template for any good breakfast/lunch.
