● Agreed, at least to play a modded match. Gate keeping match creation is alright, I suppose.●

They are. Just ask a(nother) Member to create the game for you. I don't think I've used my modded game quota at all.

The standard Fizz response is "they can, just needs to be created by a member"

The real fix is make it unlimited for members, and put the 1/week (or 2/month, whatever) to non-members, even make it a L60 unlockable, whatever, but do _something_

But what about the cost side? Apparently each modded game adds ~$50,000 in server costs since Warlight has to rent a prototype quantum computer from D-Wave to process all the intricacies of the mod.

Yea well there's that, of course all of those super legit costs

So maybe a $50 per game cost for each modded game, and a $5 per mod use cost, to align better with Megagames

Cheaper to just buy a membership at that point, so it'd wind up pricing out the same people that get priced out already.

Membership just enables the ability to use mods, those costs are on top of that to cost to cover the ~$50,000 in server costs since Warlight has to rent a prototype quantum computer from D-Wave to process all the intricacies of the mods.

You were testing a card version of this mod;
The creator of this mod is Fizzer;
My name is in Greek, not Cyrillic;
You just need to attack with 1 army, it didn't destroy the fort as forts are being created at the end of the turn, not the beginning. There was no fort to destroy.

I agree something needs to be done with mods. The current design de facto supports only mods in diplomacy games. 1v1/ 2v2 or 3v3 games are too quick to make them worth the coin creation fee and accepting them into competitive play would put a paywall in this game.

I didn't realize the cost, but user generated content is key to this game's survival AND future growth.

More UGC = more growth = MORE MONEY.

Nobody is going to use Warzone's UGC if it is only usable by a minority of users...

Duh!

This is my subjective opinion, but as a mod creator it's seems pretty clear that : Fizzer has already and continues to invest development time into mods. Which, incudes addressing the fact that they are currently much more expensive compered to a normal game. So likely the best course of action for us, is a little bit of patience. Of course we all want stuff sooner rather then later 🙃 but I am pretty confident that mods will see continuous support from Fizzer, which hopefully makes them more available.

Guys, I have a sneaking suspicion that Fizzer doesn't need our advice on navigating his own business model.

My request is simple - don't put multiple entries into Notifications for the same forum thread. It's a pain deleting all the dupes when there are 10+ replies to watched threads.

Paid subscriptions in games are basically old-school... you cannot expect someone under the age of 21 to do that. There's no way.
