Nominations were based off of what the community submitted. Scrub away all of the nominations for maps that weren't from 2020, and the lists were made from the most popular, and/or most persuasive submissions.

People actually nominated pre-2020 maps? I would have thought that would be a low bar of voting competence to pass.

This year was the first year we didn’t have someone submit Rise of Rome.
